At Motherwell Child and Family Clinic our small multi-disciplinary CAMHS team was under obligations to follow the 1990s trend to audit everything that moved. We were proud of our family systems approach. We were all working like family therapists but without mentioning that at all. When a child was referred, we would invite "all those living at home because it helps to to get a full picture and everyone's views to plan for the best". We would routinely have at least one team colleague to help the key-worker because "two heads are better than one". For future appointments we'd ask "was this helpful? would you like to meet again? who should come next time?" Anyway, the team colleague's responsibilities included doing a simple check-list of the standards we thought were important. Here it is. Download the PDF below for actual use.
